Courses
The main objective of the courses offered is to give the participant an in-depth knowledge of snow structure, the processes of change within it, and through field experience, develop recognition of snowpack stability, confidence in ascertaining potential avalanche hazard and route choice in mountain terrain.
The courses were initially developed over 25 years ago with collaboration between British Mountain Guides and representatives from the Canadian Avalanche Association with a focus on strategies for professionals and committed back country skiers and snow-boarders.
The courses have been a great success over the last few years and all those that have remarked on their value.
